Child & young person safety
“To provide young people, of all abilities, a safe, supportive and inclusive environment which develops, promotes and encourages participation in Australian Rules Football.”
At Ormond JFC protecting your young person and child’s safety and enhancing their wellbeing, while playing a game they love, is at the core of all we do. In line with government legislation and SMJFL guidelines, we are committed to implementing the Child Safe Standards to ensure that the club’ activities and processes are the best they can be for the safety and wellbeing of our young members.
All of our team volunteers, in line with SMJFL guidelines, hold Working With Children Checks and the committee, as well as many of the coaching and team management volunteers, have undertaken training in Child Protection education.
Each of the documents below describe our preventative processes and provide you with guidance should you encounter any child or young person related concerns at our club. More than that demonstrate our commitment to act in the best interest of all young people, inclusive of both our young members and any other young people who interact with our club.
Ormond JFC applies the following in guidelines in regard to member Social Media use.
